Love Jude came to life nearly a decade after experiencing the stillbirth of one of our identical triplet sons, Jude ♡Ten years of joy and grief colliding day-after-day, of holding space for the deepest earthly love and for the kind of love that exists beyond it. A decade of knowing that Jude’s story is so much more than death, loss, missing pieces and broken hearts. Our years have also overflowed with boundless joy, laughter, glimpses of heaven, powerful revelations, and oh the love — so much love — as we learn each and every day over again just how precious the gift of living is.In 2019, crochet became a self-taught, therapeutic way to quiet my restless mind and a tangible way for me to share the extra love I carry for the son that we lost. At first, this journey started out very small, meant for my sweet little family and a few gifts for friends. Slowly, the idea that I could share even a small bit of this love with so many more, turned into something real and in 2022, Love Jude was born. Every idea, every stitch, every breath while I sit with a hook and yarn, is a tiny prayer of love and gratitude for you and for me, for my husband and living children, for the beautiful life we have built + have yet to live.Your love and support mean the world and quite literally keep this gentle act of heart-sharing alive. THANK YOU from the bottom of my mama heart for being here, holding our story, and for sharing in this space with us.(more about me below)

I’m also a mama to 3 more absolutely stunning, generous, brilliant, talented, kind, creative, inclusive, loving souls; our daughter and our two surviving triplet sons! I’m forever in love with these little people and their papa ♡ I’m also a professional flutist and vocalist; you can find me performing with my guitarist husband in and around Calgary, AB for weddings and events, with the a cappella group Altra Volta and with various instrumental groups in the city.Texture, colours, patterns, stillness, and working with my hands were all things that served as a light to guide me out of a thick fog about a year after Jude passed away; especially when my heart wasn’t ready for music. While this has taken shape in many forms over the years, when crochet entered my life it quickly became a way for me to channel a grief that desperately needed quiet time in stolen moments on chilly afternoons indoors, after bedtime, watching sleepy movies with the family, waiting for kids at school pickup, stretched out in a sun spot, basically anywhere I could tuck myself away with yarn. One day, this website will hold the blog I kept throughout our triplet pregnancy, loss, NICU journey and beyond. Until then, you can find it here if you’re interested in learning more about our family and Jude’s story!

Love Jude creations are meticulously handcrafted from start to finish. Hand washing in cold is highly recommended. Lay flat to dry + do not wring. That being said, my creations ARE machine washable. Make sure to plop your squishy find in a laundry bag first (or pillow case + tie it up) then machine wash delicate + lay flat to dry/tumble dry low. Please understand that I cannot be responsible for any damage that might result from machine washing or drying; but please do reach out should this ever occur as I would love to chat.Always follow Canadian Paediatric Society and Health Canada's safe sleep guidelines.
It’s the nature of crocheted items; every finished piece will have a variety of yarn “tails” or ends to secure, weave in and/or hide inside the completed piece.I've made every effort to ensure that your piece will keep their “tails” hidden for the long haul, but in the event that one happens to work its way out (e.g. after washing) don’t worry, your item is still secure and it’s an easy fix!If it’s long enough, you can thread the tail back inside the piece/through a few stitches and re-hide it. Or, you can simply carefully trim the tail down to the finished piece and squish it a little to work the tail back inside. When in doubt, don’t hesitate for a second to reach out. I’d be so happy to help!
